For now, we have all mutually decided to pursue personal interests other than Skeetones. As our final effort, we’ll be releasing two new songs and live videos. We have had a great run and we thank everyone for all of the support you have given us over the past three years.
How do you take things to the next level? Well, you gotta know where you come from. Midwest bass music impresario Spankalicious has been given the task of chopping and screwing the latest album from Skeetones, Next Level. Kevin Moore thought it a fitting tribute to rework the futuristic livetronica of the Cincinnati bass-jam act with a little help from some artists who we dearly miss: ODB, Nate Dogg, Jacko, and recently passed Adam Yauch, MCA of the Beastie Boys. It’s touching, but it’s also slamming. More info on the web at Skeetones.com. Spankalicious will be appearing at Strangeland Festival outside of Omaha, NE this weekend with Minnesota and BASSthoven, and hitting the mother of all Midwest festivals–Summer Camp–for two sets next weekend. Skeetones are celebrating the release of their brand spankin’ new Grassroots hat this Saturday at Mad Frog in their hometown of Cincinnati. If you need a new lid, you know where to go.
“Making quite a bold statement, Cincinnati’s livetronica impresarios Skeetones named their forthcoming EP Next Level. Well, if you’re going to slap that sticker on the record, there better be some next level shit on the inside. The five-piece piece has seemingly made the decision, consciously or unconsciously, to add a little heart back into the synthetic and sterile live electronic scene.”
At 9:00PM there will be $1 hot spiced rum cider drinks available while supplies last.
This event is a charity drive in a joint effort with St. Vincent DePaul. Please be generous and donate all that you can. We are accepting cans of food at the door in exchange for a discounted entry fee.
Mr. Freshy will be packin’ pitas for your pleasure all night! If you haven’t heard, this is some of the most delicious food found at any festival in the entire Midwest. Mr. Freshy was such a smash hit last summer that we decided to bring him to Cincinnati for all our friends and fans to enjoy!
Music will be starting early with Magnarini Paradise Band at 9:20 sharp. This band only performs once a year as a part of this new tradition! Shank Bones will be next on the night. Skeetones are closing the night out and it’s sure to be wild!
